Excellent overall condition; the following markings have been stenciled on the flap: Pfc. Fred B. Fierro 35923875.

Fred Benedict Fierro was born on May 13, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio to Sicilian parents and joined the US Army on December 11, 1943. He went on to serve with 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division and deployed to Europe, where he was wounded on April 1st, 1945, at Vicht, a village in the North Eifel region. He was discharged on October 15, 1945, and passed away on July 9, 1978.
