Scarce and nice genuine WWII US Army Nurse Corps grouping, made up of a dark OD wool serge uniform (jacket, skirt and visor hat) and a khaki necktie, which belonged to Lieutenant Marguerite Catherine Hoole.

Homogeneous set, in excellent overall condition, complete with all buttons. The jacket retains its shoulder sleeve insignia and original label; size 14S, dated December 29, 1943. The label in the skirt indicates waist size as 28 and its Talon zipper is in working order. The cap is complete with insignia and label -- size 23. A name tag bearing mention Lt. Marguerite C. Hoole has been sewn in both the jacket and the skirt; the necktie features laundry number W0212.

Marguerite Catherine Hoole was born on February 17, 1920 in New York City and joined the US Army Nurse Corps in 1943. She deployed to Europe, was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant and married Humphries Miller Walton on October 5, 1946. She passed away on April 25, 2014.
