Helmet, Firefighter, Model 1923, Pont-l'Abbé, Normandy

Very nice and scarce genuine French firefighter brass helmet, Model 1923, issued to the town of Pont-l'Abbé-Picauville, Manche department, Normandy in the interwar period. 

In good, used condition, the present helmet retains its outer features (crest and plaque) as well as most of its original liner (cord is missing). The leather chinstrap has been damaged.

An amazing local relic.
