Nice genuine post-WWII French fighting dagger, 'Le Commando', manufactured by Super-Nogent. 6.2-inch long stainless steel blade and zamak hilt.

Created in 1953, this weapon, which is essentially based on the British Fairbairn Sykes dagger, saw service during the Algerian War (1954-1962). Production came to an end in 1974.

Very good overall condition; comes in its original scabbard, bearing the same producer's hallmark. Snap fastener of securing strap is in working order.
