Great genuine WWII British Mk II helmet, retaining its original liner and early chinstrap.
Shell is hallmarked JSS (Joseph Stankey & Sons Ltd. in Bilston), liner was manufactured by FH (Failsworth Hats in Manchester) in 1940. Size 7.
The tricolor insignia painted on each side likely indicates that it once belonged to a Free French soldier of the 1ère Division Française Libre.
Homogeneous set, in very good overall condition, covered with a medium-mesh net.
