Rare genuine WWII British Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife, second pattern.
The checkered grip features a diamond-shaped stamp bearing the Cross of Lorraine (emblem of the Free French Forces), while the War Department's initials and arrow can be seen on the pommel. The blade is well preserved.
Comes in its original brown leather scabbard, fitted with a metal chape and an elastic band (intact); leather tabs on both sides were intended for sewing onto the trousers leg.
Great homogeneous set, in very good overall condition.
