Genuine WWII US Army anti-vesicant cover in clear and dark green plastic. Once unfolded, this individual protective cover was intended for covering the GI with his weapon and equipment.

It was also convenient as an overhead cover in a foxhole, or to line its bottom; this item was also used as a shroud in temporary cemeteries. On D-Day, every GI carried two of these with his gas mask.

The rare present type was specifically designed for being used in cold climate.

Sealed, untouched condition. Contract is dated September 21, 1943.
