Genuine WWII US Army anti-vesicant cover made in clear and dark green plastic, of the early version introduced in 1942.
After unfolding, this cover protected the soldier, along with his weapon and equipment. It was also convenient as an overhead cover in a foxhole or to line its bottom; covers were also used as shrouds in temporary cemeteries. On D-Day, every GI carried two of these with his gas mask.
Contract is dated July 9, 1942.
Complete, untouched condition.
