Nice genuine WWII German ammunition steel case, intended for carrying MG 34 and MG 42 belts. Markings Patr. Kast. 41 f. M.G. stamped on each side refers to the year of introduction of this model (Patronenkasten 41 für Maschinengewehr) -- not the year of production.
The present box is in quite good, used condition and retains most of its original sand yellow paint. Handle and hinges are in working order.
