Rare genuine WWII German photograph showing elements of the ᛋᛋ-Freiwilligen-Legion „Flandern“ on the Eastern Front in July 1942.
The present picture, taken by war correspondent Altstadt, shows a Kübelwagen camouflaged with foliage, crossing a road embankment in order to leave the muddy track.
The reverse of the photo bears the stamp of Ersatzkommando Flandern u. Wallonien d. Waffen-ᛋᛋ (Werbestelle Gent), along with the following caption, typewritten in German: Ungeheure Gelaendeschwerigketen haben unsere deutschen Fahrzeuge zu meistern und immer und immer wider zeigt es sichdabei, dass deutsche Wertarbeit jeglichen Srapazen gewaschen ist. ('Our German vehicles have to cope with immense off-road challenges, and time and time again it has been shown that German workmanship can withstand any kind of strain.')

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
