Rare and nice genuine WWII German M30 gas mask, retaining itsFE 42 filter cartridge, original lenses and straps.
Dated 1940; size 2.
The various inscriptions visible on the main strap indicate that the present gas mask once belonged to some Gefreiter R. Dick (4.4385072).
Comes in its original canister (large size: 10.9in), dated 1942; spare lenses are still present in the inner compartment intended for that purpose -- mention Uffz. Mundt has been painted on the latter's lid; all hinges are in working order.
Unteroffizier Mundt, who served with 10. Kompanie, Fallschirmjäger Regiment 9 of 3. Fallschirmjäger-Division, was captured by American troops in the vicinity of Cloville, Normandy, France on July 11, 1944 (Hill 192).
A great set, in good overall condition.

Rare masque à gaz allemand M30, d'origine Seconde Guerre mondiale, ayant conservé sa cartouche filtrante FE 42, ses verres de protection et son système de sangles.
Daté 1940 ; taille 2.
Les différentes inscriptions visibles sur la courroie principale indiquent que cet exemplaire a appartenu à un certain Gefreiter R. Dick (4.4385072).
Livré dans son boîtier original (grand modèle : 27,7 cm), daté 1942 ; une paire de verres de rechange est toujours présente dans le compartiment prévu à cet effet, sur le couvercle duquel a été peinte la mention Uffz. Mundt.
L'Unteroffizier Mundt, appartenant à la 10. Kompanie, Fallschirmjäger Regiment 9 de la 3. Fallschirmjäger-Division, sera capturé par les Américains dans le secteur de Cloville (Manche) le 11 juillet 1944 (cote 192).
Bel ensemble, en bon état général.
