Tunic, Heer, Hauptmann, 1. Kompanie, Infanterie-Regiment 65
Rare genuine WWII German Heer officer's Feldbluse, which once belonged to some Hauptmann (Captain) of Infanterie-Regiment 65.
This four-pocket service tunic, made in Feldgrau cloth, sports a pair of shoulder boards featuring the white piping of the Infantry, both adorned with two golden nails indicating the rank of Hauptmann, along with number 65 and a pebbled aluminium button with numeral 1 for 1. Kompanie.
Complete and in quite good, worn condition; the left breast pocket is partly unstitched.

Created on October 15, 1935, this regiment belonged to 22. Infanterie-Division (Luftlande), an airborne division of the army, which participated in the invasion of the Netherlands in 1940 prior to redeploying to the Eastern Front, and later in the Mediterranean.
