Genuine WWII German signal flare, made of an aluminum tube with color indication.

cbl is the German alphabetic ordnance code used in World War II for Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke AG, Zweigniederlassung Sueddeutsche Metallindustrie, Nuernberg W.

The effect produced is a white star, shifting toward yellow, igniting at an altitude of 130–160 m and burning for approximately 10–13 seconds, with an intensity of 170,000 candelas. This provides sufficient illumination at night to see within a radius of 250 m, and the signal can be seen in daylight from nearly 4 km away.

Excellent overall condition.
