Genuine WWII US Army herringbone twill hat, introduced in January 1941 and intended for being worn with the two-piece light green HBT fatigues. According to regulations, it was worn with the brim turned down. Size corresponds to 6 5/8.

Good, worn condition. Name James E. Quarles and ASN 33630299 have been written on the outer surface.

James Edward Quarles was born on June 25, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and joined the US Army on March 23, 1943. He went on to serve with the 271st Port Company, 5th Engineer Special Brigade and was discharged as a Technician 4th Grade on October 27, 1945. He passed away on September 22, 1972.
