Alston Ellsworth Gray was born on October 10, 1917 in Guildhall, Vermont and joined the Air Corps on November 25, 1941 (ASN 11035716). After being awarded his wings and commissioned as an officer, he went on to serve as a flight instructor at Greenwood Army Airfield, Mississippi. He passed away on August 5, 1997.
