Nice genuine WWII US Army Other Ranks Garrison Cap, Dark OD 51 wool, featuring the light blue piping of the Infantry.

Corresponds to size 7.

Good overall condition in spite of a few moth holes on the left side.

Various inscriptions visible inside indicate that the present hat once belonged to some Technician 4th Grade Carl Holst, ASN 32140266, Company H, 345th Infantry Regiment.

Carl Holst was born on May 8, 1916 in Oneida, New York in a Danish family and joined the US Army on May 21, 1942. He was discharged on October 17, 1945, and passed away on May 31, 1991.
