Francis Stuart Vickers was born on October 31, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri and joined the US Army on May 15, 1944 (ASN 37640448). He went on to serve with the 70th Infantry Division, deployed to Europe and was wounded in action in February 1945 at Wasselone, north-west of Strasbourg, France. he was discharged on May 29, 1946 as a Sergeant and passed away on April 23, 1998.
