Herman Schwamenfeld was born on January 1st, 1911 in New York and joined the US Army on March 31, 1944 (ASN 42126947). He went on to serve with Company I, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division and deployed to Europe, where he was wounded by shrapnel in the shoulder in November 1944. Discharged on April 11, 1946 as a Private, he passed away August 30, 1977.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
