Joseph Louis Newsham was born on October 22, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and joined the US Army on February 17, 1941 (ASN 20308599). He went on to serve with the 28th Infantry Division and deployed to Europe from November 8, 1943 to November 17, 1945. He was discharged nine days later, and passed away on March 23, 1990.
