The 3rd Armored Division takes part in the Battle of Normandy in late June 1944 during the liberation of Saint-Lô and the Falaise Pocket. After liberating several French and Belgian cities, it sees actions at the Hürtgen Forrest and later in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge. During the invasion of Germany, its commander, Major General Maurice Rose is killed in action in a ambush.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
