Genuine WWII US Army sterling silver glider badge, intended for being worn above the left breast pocket -- dress uniform or jump jacket.

The original pin is in working order.

Based on the parachutist's badge design, these 'wings', which were authorized on June 2, 1944, were to be awarded to GIs upon completion of glider unit training course -- or following their participation in at least one combat mission.

Complete and in very good overall condition.
