Genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, manufactured by Case, hallmarked on guard, featuring a straight crossguard and a smooth leather grip. Comes in its original USM8 bakelite scabbard, 1st type, manufactured by B.M. Co. -- snap fastener of securing strap is in working order.
The Case Company made more versions of the present knife than any other manufacturer. These variations included two different blade markings and two guard markings; some had a bent guard and others were straight, while the handle could be smooth or grooved.
Nice homogeneous set in good, used condition.
