Genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, manufactured by Case and hallmarked on blade.
The Case Compay made more versions of the present knife than any other manufacturer. These variations included two different blade markings and two guard markings. Some had a bent guard and others were straight. Eventually, the handle variations were smooth, rigged and grooved types.
Comes its original USM8 bakelite scabbard, fitted with a bent-wire hook; laundry number H 4822 has been inked on the sheath itself and on the OD 7 canvas loop; snap fastener is in working order.
Nice homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition.
