Rare genuine WWII US Navy Mk 2 combat knife, manufactured by Camillus and hallmarked on guard, showing some major modifications.
Blade and hilt have been shortened, so that the whole assembly offers reduced dimensions similar to the Mk 1 utility knife, while some leather lace has been added on the grip near the pommel cap.
Overall length of knife: 9.25in.
Comes in its original grey bakelite scabbard, manufactured by B.M. Co. and marked U.S.N. MK 2, also shortened to match the size of the above-mentioned blade; snap fastener is in working order.
Amazing homogeneous set, in rather good, used condition.
