Rare genuine WWII US Army M2 type switchblade knife, desgined for paratroopers and intented for cutting the canopy risers when landing in a difficult spot.
Generally carried in the small vertical pocket located under the collar of the jump coat.
Version manufactured by Schrade in Walden, New York, featuring bakelite grips (antler style).
Blade length: 3.14in.
Mint, unissued condition; retains its original lanyard and oil paper; comes straight from its original cardboard box -- not included in this sale.
The few small corrosion stains that may be spotted are due to previous storage conditions.
