Rare genuine WWI US Army M1918 Trench Knife, featuring the characteristic knuckle cast handle and double-edged blade.

Manufactured by L.F. & C. in 1918.

This type was widely issued to US Rangers, Marines and paratroops during the following conflict, until officially superseded by the USM3 in 1943 -- however, many warriors would still prefer the M1918 Trench Knife, as seen in numerous wartime photos.

The right side of the guard has been cut off, while the original blade was superseded by one taken from some USM3 trench knife manufactured by Utica Cutlery in 1943.

Comes in some original USM8 bakelite scabbard (snap fastener in working order).

Great homogeneous set, in good overall condition.

Sale prohibited to minors (D-a category weapon).
