Knife, Trench, USM3, H. BOKER & CO. on Blade, with Scabbard, USM6, L&C 1943 FJA
Great genuine WWII USM3 trench knife, manufactured by H. Boker & Co. and hallmarked on blade; the Ordnance Department flaming bomb has been stamped on the pommel cap.
This company made only 31,300 of these knives.
The blade is quite well preserved.
Comes in its original USM6 leather scabbard, featuring strengthening pieces consisting of two rectangular metal plates fastened by four rivets, which keep the leather parts together.
Staples reinforce the top of the sheath on which the hilt rests. The scabbard could be attached to the M1936 belt thanks to the bent-wire hook located in the upper part, while a leather shoe attached in the lower part (not provided here) was designed for being tied around the leg. Markings USM6 L&C 1943 FJA are still visible on the front, though hardly legible.
Rare homogeneous set in rather good, used condition — hard to find nowadays.
Don't miss it!
