Sweatband, Liner M-1, early, (Double Wire)

Genuine WWII US leather sweatband for M1 helmet liner.

It features the 'double wire' buckle variation and the earliest style spring-clips, which dates the headband's production to early-1942. The leather remains quite soft and pliable even though it shows some intense use. This would be an ideal headband for all helmet liners with non-painted steel A-washers (including Hawleys and low-pressure liners).
