Helmet, M1, NCO, 90th Infantry Division, Normandy

Genuine WWII US M1 helmet, fixed bales are missing, manufactured by McCord, illegible shell number. The insignia of the 90th Infantry Division has been painted on the front, a NCO bar has been painted on rear and a red square on both side of the helmet.

The first elements of the 90th ID landed on Utah Beach on D-Day. The division was subsequently engaged in the Battle of the Hedgerows in the Cotentin Peninsula.

A scarce battlefied relic found in Normandy many years ago.
