Helmet, M1, Fixed Loops, 2nd Lieutenant, Hit

Rare genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord. Shell number 524L. Original early production canvas chinstrap with brass hook and buckle. The 2nd Lieutenant rank insignia has been painted on front of the shell, and an officer serial number has been stenciled inside of the shell: 0-340251. 

The shell shows three points of impact -- the first one is located on the front, the second and the third are visible on the rear left side.
