Genuine WWII US M1 helmet, front rim seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 768A.
Only the left part of the canvas chinstrap is still present, along with its hook.
The outer surface shows remnants of a layer of light blue paint, which was once applied onto the factory olive drab, while some Eagle, Globe and Anchor cap insignia has been attached onto the front thank to a small hole made on purpose.
Comes along with its liner, manufactured by Seaman Paper Co. and retaining its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, with blackened-brass A washers.
Nice homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
