OD 7 canvas chinstrap with steel buckle and hook, on which name Mootz has been written.
The 5th Infantry Division insignia has been painted on the shell and adorned with a single white chevron, indicating the rank of Private First Class.
Comes along with its original liner, manufactured by Firestone, retaining its cotton web suspension, leather sweatband, OD-painted A washers, and leather chinstrap; the 5th Infantry Division insignia has been painted on the front, too.
Great homogeneous set in quite good, worn condition, which belonged to Private First Class William C. Mootz.
William Charles Mootz was born on June 28, 1926 in Madison, Wisconsin. He was discharged as a Technician 5th Grade, and passed away on September 27, 2004.
