Genuine WWII US Navy M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 209A. Original 1st pattern canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook.
The outer surface of the shell adorned with a single grey strip (2-inch-high) around the full circumference, indicating that the present helmet saw service with some naval amphibious unit.
Excellent overall condition and delivered with its genuine liner manufactured by Firestone with OD 3 canvas strps fixed by OD green A washer. Without neckband, sweetband and leather chinstrap.
