Helmet, M1, Fixed Loops, White Camouflage, Battle of the Bulge, Westinghouse Liner

Nice genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front rim seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number illegible.

The early production canvas chinstrap retains its brass buckle and hook.

The outer surface of the shell shows remnants of a winter camouflage, made up of a layer of white paint, indicating that the present helmet may have been worn during the Battle of the Bulge, in the Ardennes.

Retains its original liner manufactured by Westinghouse, with cotton web suspension and neckband, leather sweatband, and blackened-brass A washers.

Homogeneous set in quite good, worn condition.
