Kit, Individual, Medical, Jungle, M-2, Spec. 433B, G.B. MFG. CO., Inc 1944, with Contents
Nice genuine WWII US M2 individual medical jungle kit pouch, Spec. 433B (The two parallel vertical lines joined at the top by a horizontal bar stitching under the flap are an easy way to spot these pouches), introduced in 1943 for the Army yet also widely used by the Marine Corps. A first-aid packet pouch or any other piece of equipment featuring the standard bent wire hook can be attached below, thanks to the two eyelets intended for that purpose.
A common practice observed in the Pacific involves carrying two of these kits on the belt: one containing its original contents, and the other holding two MKII grenades.
Manufactured by G.B. MFG. CO., Inc 1944.
The present kit is in very good overall condition and retains most of its original contents.
