Genuine WWII US Army Medical Department stainless steel sterilizer, intended for hypodermic needles.

Manufactured by Pioneer in New York City.

This small burner was part of the officer's and NCO's medical bag; it was dropped when the hypodermic syringe was replaced by expendable syrettes in the bag contents.
