Genuine US Marine Corps M1 helmet liner, of the resin-coated, compressed fiber type introduced in 1943, manufactured by Westinghouse.

The outter surface shows remnants of whitey paint and three stripes (red-yellow-red), while some brass Eagle, Globe and Anchor insignia has been attached on the front.

Worn condition; retains most of its cotton web suspension (damaged) and all blackened-brass A washers.
