Box, Luminous Markers, Type III
Genuine WWII US tin box, intended for carrying luminous markers. Designed for night beaconing, these radium luminous disks were also issued to US paratroopers on the occasion of night operations -- attached onto the helmet net or any other part of their gear, they allowed troops to recognize each other in the darkness.
