Genuine WWII US Army Field Ration K, Dinner Unit, of the early type.
Packaged by The Hills Bros Co. in New York.
Initially intended for airborne units, this type of combat ration pack was standardized for all services in November 1942. A daily ration for one man was made up of three separate cardboard boxes -- Breakfast, Dinner, and Supper.
The present ration is complete and and comes in its original carton.
