Converter, M-209-B, 1944

Rare genuine WWII US Army Signal Corps M-209-B converter case, dated 1944. This small, portable, hand-operated machine was intended for enciphering and deciphering radio messages at the tactical level. This type of converter saw service in Normandy with airborne units, amongst others.

The present converter is empty but remains in good overall condition and comes in its original heavy duty canvas bag, along with a message book and a copy of the technical manual.
