The leaflet of a show offered by the United Service Organizations Camp Shows in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations, a 1943 play by F. Hugh Herbert, Kiss and Tell, comes along with the present musette.

Fred Schubert, the young American actor to whom the musette belonged, was Raymond Pringle in the above-mentioned play.
President Roosevelt had initiated the creation of the USO before the country formally entered the conflict; merging the Salvation Army, YMCA, YWCA and other associations, its main mission consisted in providing recreation for servicemen and their families.
