Donald Paul Willet was born on June 9, 1918 in McSherrystwon, Pennsylvania and joined the US Army on May 1st, 1942 (ASN 33230074). He went on to serve in the Air Corps and deployed to Europe with Headquarters Squadron, 84th Fighter Wing, 9th Air Force from January 22, 1944 to October 3, 1945. He was discharged thirteen days later as a Sergeant, and passed away on October 18, 2014.
