Great genuine WWII US Army regulation 'Ike Jacket' of the type introduced in April 1944.
Label is dated July 21, 1944; size 40R.
Excellent overall condition; retains all original buttons and the following insignia: 28th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia, Corporal rank stripes, ribbon bars (Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two Stars, WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal), and 'Ruptured Duck'.
Initials CTR have been embroidered in the collar.
Clarence Theodore Rutkowsky was born on April 19, 1911 in Union City, New Jersey and joined the US Army on September 11, 1942 (ASN 32469251). He went on to serve in the Air Forces prior to transferring to Company B, 112th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division, deploying to Europe. He was discharged on November 30, 1945 as a Corporal, and passed away on July 31, 1977.
