Genuine WWII US Navy officer's garrison cap, gray cotton twill. Authorized in April 1943, the 'battleship gray' color was intended for providing better camouflage aboard vessels, and was only produced during one year.
Excellent overall condition. Complete with original Lieutenant (Junior Grade) rank insignia, and two-part pin badge hallmarked Sterling and featuring gold-filled anchors. Seems to correspond to size 7 1/4.
