Genuine WWII US Navy officer's garrison cap, gray cotton twill. Authorized in April 1943, the 'battleship gray' color was intended for providing better camouflage aboard vessels, and was only produced during one year.
Very good overall condition. Complete with original Lieutenant (Junior Grade) rank insignia, and two-part pin badge hallmarked Balfour and featuring gold-filled anchors. Seems to correspond to size 7.
