Pair of genuine WWII US Navy officer's shoulder boards, adorned with Lieutenant (Junior Grade) insignia.
This type was designed for the gray cotton twill jacket, virtually similar to the khaki work uniform, featuring four buttoned-flap pockets. Authorized in April 1943, the 'battleship gray' was intended for providing better camouflage aboard vessels, and was only produced for one year.
Homogeneous set, in very good overall condition. One button is broken in half but still working.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
