Rare genuine WWII US Navy waterproof radio set, manufactured by Communication Company, Inc.
Made under Navy Contract Nxss-14439, this transmitting and receiving equipment was intially designed for the Paramarines but soon became popular with most branches of services in the Marine Corps.
The radio set is made up of the following parts:
- 1 watertight bakelite box containing the transceiver itself and the battery;
- 1 pair of headphones;
- 1 microphone with a switch button;
- 1 telescopic antenna (of the 2nd type in the present case).
Homogeneous set, in very good overall condition, retaining all wires.
