Nice genuine WWII US Navy Mk 2 Talker helmet, retaining its leather chinstrap.

Designed in 1942, this is a very large helmet to wear though it did serve its purpose very well. It was intended for accommodating headphones for radiomen or anyone using shipboard sound-powered phones. This type was manufactured by the McCord Radiator Company in Detroit, Michigan.

This helmet is in great shape; paint and cork are rather good with minor signs of wear; the correct leather chinstrap is also present with copper wire hooks to attach to the helmet.

Complete and in good overall condition; the Firestone marking is visible on the inner surface of the shell.
