Rare genuine WWII US Navy photograph, showing an American aircraft carrier in the harbor of Southampton, England.
The ship could be the USS Enterprise, which made two round trips between Southampton and New York in late 1945, repatriating over 9,000 GIs.
The present picture was taken by Combat Photo Unit 8, which would land on Utah Beach on D-Day.
Original print on cardboard sheet, in quite good overall condition despite a small tear on the upper right edge.
