Rare genuine WWII US Navy life preserver, manufactured by H.D. Gihon, Inc. in Trenton, New Jersey in 1945.
The present kapok type was widely issued to landing craft coxswains on the occasion of amphibious operations, including June 6, 1944 in Normandy.
Complete and in good overall condition; snap hook is in working order.
